Commissioned in 1767 by Act of The General Assembly of The British Colony of South Carolina

Completed in 1771

Deeded in 1917 by The United States Congress to the South Carolina State Society National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to be held in trust for The Rebecca Motte Chapter DAR
